macbook pro dvd playback after suspend Buffer I/O error

Hello; I posted this on lkml, and forgot to Cc this to here, It seems
if I'm playing a DVD, and then suspend the system as the DVD is still
playing upon wakeup I'm seeing a Buffer I/O error. Attached is dmesg
which will show the error at the bottom. I'm not to sure if this is
software related or kernel related. from the best of my knowledge I am
able to reproduce this error not by just performing a suspend, but by
just inserting a DVD and pressing play with gmplayer(if I wait a few
minutes for the cd player to settle down then the DVD will play) With
previous kernel's 2.6.23 I was able to insert a DVD with gmplayer a
press play without waiting a few seconds and there would be no issue.
regards;
