Hello, I'm using a 2.6.18-rc4-git1 kernel with the libata patch. All of the sata channels are working via ahci but the PATA on the Jmicron controler won't seem to come up properly. All that's connected via PATA is a BENQ DVD-RW drive. >From dmesg: scsi8 : pata_legacy ata9: port is slow to respond, please be patient ata9: port failed to respond (30 secs) ata9: SRST failed (status 0xFF) ata9: SRST failed (err_mask=0x100) ata9: softreset failed, retrying in 5 secs ata9: SRST failed (status 0xFF) ata9: SRST failed (err_mask=0x100) ata9: softreset failed, retrying in 5 secs ata9: SRST failed (status 0xFF) ata9: SRST failed (err_mask=0x100) ata9: reset failed, giving up ata10: PATA max PIO4 cmd 0x170 ctl 0x376 bmdma 0x0 irq 14 scsi9 : pata_legacy ata10: port is slow to respond, please be patient ata10: port failed to respond (30 secs) ata10: SRST failed (status 0xFF) ata10: SRST failed (err_mask=0x100) ata10: softreset failed, retrying in 5 secs ata10: SRST failed (status 0xFF) ata10: SRST failed (err_mask=0x100) ata10: softreset failed, retrying in 5 secs ata10: SRST failed (status 0xFF) ata10: SRST failed (err_mask=0x100) ata10: reset failed, giving up >From lspci: 04:00.0 SATA controller: JMicron Technologies, Inc.
