Naohiro, Please complete all the tasks I asked of you before friday. In particular, and especially, of those you attempted and still not doing well, please continue and re-do: 1) a) the last known url for download of the netgear hfsplus patch/tarball should be included in one of the commit log messages b) update and add to the final or initial commit log message of the netgear hfsplus series with an overview of patch order and dependency, of how the 15(?) broken-down patches relates to each other: git://github.com/naota/hfsplus.git c) update each of the commit log messages of the 15(?) patches on analysis and plans of further break up. 2) on https://github.com/naota/diskdev_cmds.git , please: a) for *each* patch of a gentoo-derived origin, add relevant message on the last known url of where you got it, what version of gentoo it was, erc. They should be and can be applied/reviewed separately so each patch must carry the gentoo reference. b) for each 'Don't do ... ' patch, explain whether it is an ugly hack (it is strictly-speaking wrong but make it compile for the time being) or there are better alternatives. The "Don't consider encodings on Linux" part is obviously wrong and an ugly hack. It is wrong even on linux. same with "Don't mount after fsck finished" - that patch is obviously wrong. c) please add to the 'Remove unnessecery code' patch that it is wrong, and you should *plan* to drop this part of the gentoo patch _if and when_ you continue - I have already explain that you cannot make unnecessary changes (and gentoo should not do that either) - you don't own the upstream apple code and introducing unnecessary changes just make it difficult for merging/forward-port later.
