Yes, I think something like:

static inline bool iocb_is_sync(struct kiocb *iocb)
{
	return (iocb->ki_flags & IOCB_DSYNC) ||
		S_SYNC(iocb->ki_filp->f_mapping->host);
}

should do the job.
