I'm try to run my HVR-3000 on Ubuntu 8.10 and I follow the wiki page http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Hauppauge_WinTV-HVR-3000 about Steve Toth's repository.

It is producing a warning and one error when I try to "make".
