Are you sure that it has an Intel CE 6353 on the board? This is a DVB-T demodulator and as far as I know it is not needed for analogue TV. Can you do the `i2cdetect -l` (That is a lower case L as the option) and then `i2cdetect #` (replace # with the number of the i2c buses associated with cx23885) To do both of the above you have to load the module i2c-dev, but only load this module while doing the above as it has been known to break firmware loading in TV cards, so once done use rmmod to remove it or restart the computer. I would be very interested to see if they have just disabled the demodulator in windows for some reason. The VID_C error messages are the fact that the demodulator/tuner is not being initialized correctly. It might be on VID_B instead. Also the regspy would be good to know when trying to set up the GPIO's and other registers for this card. Regards Stephen. P.S. Please post your reply at the bottom of the email, not the top.
