Hermann, Thank you for your response. The card is a M115S not M1155 as first reported. I mis-read it when looking at it in the Vista Device Manager. It would seem theirefore that it is a M115 derivative. I'm not sure what the 'S' would stand for - Sony perhaps? You are right that it is shipped with a Sony Vaio machine, in this case a Vaio VGX-TP1E Media Centre PC. I've played around with the saa7134-core module and added the definition for the card in question (i.e. I copied the definition for M1155 using 1461:e836 - as indicated by dmesg - rather than 1461:a836 as for the original M115). Obviously I don't just expect this to work. However dmesg now reports: [ 38.915676] saa7133[0]/dvb Huh? unknown DVB card? [ 38.915676] saa7133[0]/dvb frontend initialisation failed So maybe its now down to identifying the tuner. The only information I could get about the tuner was that it has both a 'BDA Analogue Tuner' and a 'BDA Tuner' the latter of which is presumably the DVB tuner. Sorry but don't know what the BDA part stands for and I can'r see it listed in the supported tuner devices. Any idea if such a tuner - even if only analogue for now - is supported? The card is not yet supported, but was seen previously on some Sony Vaio stuff. We have no reports for any details on it, but there is a slight chance that it is very similar to card=138, the AVERMEDIA_M115. There is no DVB-T support yet and you would need recent XCeive firmware in /lib/firmware if my guessing is right. Are you sure DVB-T for this one is announced at all?
