Fwd: Problem with Twinhan 102g not being recognized

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I found some more information on this Twinhan card - there's a sticker
on the card that changes the version number from VP-1022A VER 2.0, to
102g.

I don't know if that's just a marketing change or what, but I now find
more information using google about VP-1022A. There's a fairly long
thread on this mailing list, in which a patch is posted here:
http://www.linuxtv.org/pipermail/linux-dvb/2007-February/015866.html
but then in a subsequent email the next day, the patch is retracted:
http://www.linuxtv.org/pipermail/linux-dvb/2007-February/015872.html

which says,
"Scrap that patch I did! It only applies to some Twinhan cards. I
spotted the fault

    "bttv0: Bt878 (rev 17) at 0000:00:0f.0, irq: 10, latency: 128,
mmio:

    0xde001000"

You need to change your bios settings and change pci latency to 32.

If Matthew Hagan still posts to this mailing list, do you still
consider that to be the right fix for the 102g/VP-1022A?

I will try this out.
