Hi,

I've tried the patch for the dib3000mc
http://www.linuxtv.org/pipermail/linux-dvb/2008-January/023105.html

I've got a Hauppauge WinTV NOVA T USB2.
I can't see much of a difference. Tuning with mpalyer is maybe faster, but it is so fast that it is 
hard to measure.

Anyway, so far it has been working.
