Hello, I have some troubles to scan the satellites for available channels. I have 3 LNB's connected via a diseqc switch The positions are: diseqc-pos 0: astra-e19.2 diseqc-pos 1: hotbird-e13.0 diseqc-pos 2: sirius-e5.0 I have installed ubuntu-gutsy with two TT-budget cards. Then I do: # cd /usr/share/doc/dvb-utils/examples/scan/dvb-s # scanopts="-U -p -e3 -o vdr" # scan -s0 $scanopts Astra-19.2E >~/astra.out # scan -s1 $scanopts Hotbird-13.0E >~/hotbird.out # scan -s2 $scanopts Sirius-5.0E >~/sirius.out For astra, this seems to work as expected and finds 1138 channels. But for hotbird, only transponders explicitly mentioned in the initial-tuning-data-file are actually scanned. If I add more transponders (data found from lyngsat)to the initial-tuning file, more channels are found. This is what I get for hotbird: # scan -s1 $scanopts Hotbird-13.0E >hotbird.scan scanning /usr/share/doc/dvb-utils/examples/scan/dvb-s/Hotbird-13.0E using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0' initial transponder 12539000 H 27500000 3 initial transponder 12558000 V 27500000 3 initial transponder 11034000 V 27500000 3 >>> tune to: 12539:h:S0.0W:27500: 0x0000 0x227c: pmt_pid 0x0000 MultiProgram -- CARPE DIEM (running) [ ... ] 0x0000 0x227e: pmt_pid 0x120c MultiProgram -- LA 8 (running) Network Name 'EUTELSAT 13EAST' >>> tune to: 12558:v:S0.0W:27500: 0x0000 0x238d: pmt_pid 0x0000 EUTELSAT -- SKYPLEX TXP92 (running) [ ... ] 0x0000 0x272a: pmt_pid 0x0000 VFSAT3 -- SIMS Signaling (running, scrambled) Network Name 'Skyplex' WARNING: filter timeout pid 0x0e2f WARNING: filter timeout pid 0x0e33 >>> tune to: 11034:v:S0.0W:27500: Network Name 'GCP' 0x0000 0x06a5: pmt_pid 0x0064 Globecast -- W9 (running, scrambled) [ ... ] 0x0000 0x06ad: pmt_pid 0x0384 GLOBECAST -- EURONEWS-FRANCE (running) dumping lists (74 services) Done. # So it looks like scan don't really recognize the satellite, since it tries to tune to S0.0W. But nevertheless, I have given -s1, so scan should know that it should use diseqc position 1. Any ideas what's up here? _______________________________________________ linux-dvb mailing list linux-dvb@xxxxxxxxxxx http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linux-dvb
