Re: No FE_HAS_LOCK on certain channels

Hi Hans,

Yep, I think Teracom (Swedish TV transmission company) is to blame here.
I also had similar problems since they switched off the analog
transmissions and started messing with the DVB-t muxes. In particular the
FEC bits.

Heres a more correct channels.conf (free channels)!!

SVT2
Värmlandsnytt:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_1_2:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_8:HIERARCHY_NONE:1029:1028:5080
SVT24
Värmlandsnytt:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_1_2:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_8:HIERARCHY_NONE:1249:1248:5190
Barn/Kunskapsk.:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_1_2:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_8:HIERARCHY_NONE:879:878:870
SVT1:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_1_2:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_8:HIERARCHY_NONE:1019:1018:1010
TV4
Värmland:674000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_1_2:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_8:HIERARCHY_NONE:1049:1048:6140
TV6:674000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_1_2:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_8:HIERARCHY_NONE:1079:1078:1070

dvbscan dosn't get the fec modes right, I think because Teracom is sending
false information here ?? I haven't had much time to investigate this yet.
When I do I'll post the new channels.conf to the list.

Then Myth also has problem importing even the correct channels.conf.
So heres some(I think only some of the channels are here) SQL for that ...

INSERT INTO `dtv_multiplex` (`mplexid`, `sourceid`, `transportid`,
`networkid`, `frequency`, `inversion`, `symbolrate`, `fec`, `polarity`,
`modulation`, `bandwidth`, `lp_code_rate`, `transmission_mode`,
`guard_interval`, `visible`, `constellation`, `hierarchy`, `hp_code_rate`,
`sistandard`, `serviceversion`, `updatetimestamp`) VALUES
(1, 1, 1021, 8945, 650000000, 'a', NULL, NULL, NULL, 'qpsk', '8', '1/2',
'8', '1/8', 0, 'qam_64', 'n', '2/3', 'dvb', 2, '2007-09-26 19:27:25'),
(3, 1, 1022, 8945, 674000000, 'a', NULL, NULL, NULL, 'qpsk', '8', '1/2',
'8', '1/8', 0, 'qam_64', 'n', '2/3', 'dvb', 5, '2007-09-08 00:33:01'),
(5, 1, 1111, 8945, 642000000, 'a', NULL, NULL, NULL, 'qpsk', '8', '1/2',
'8', '1/4', 0, 'qam_64', 'n', '3/4', 'dvb', 2, '2007-09-08 00:34:36'),
(8, 1, 1110, 8945, 482000000, 'a', NULL, NULL, NULL, NULL, '8', '1/2',
'8', '1/8', 0, 'qam_64', 'n', '2/3', 'dvb', 6, '2007-09-07 23:58:18');

You could try to import the above channels.conf and then go into the Myth
database and "correct" the FEC bits.

If you need any further help send me an email.

P.S. Det går bra på svenska också.
