I'm looking to buy a DVB-S receiver to try alongside my working DVB-T setup (a Hauppage Nova-T USB2). Ideally I'd like a USB2 device with a driver that works on powerpc and somewhere selling 'em in the UK for <$100 :-) but I'm not sure how realistic that is. I see quite a few of these on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/USB-2-0-DVB-S-Satellite-HDTV-TV-receiver-w-Remote-SAT_W0QQitemZ180183701751QQihZ008QQcategoryZ3761QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD2VQQcmdZViewItem But there's no brand, chipset, anything to go on so I'm wary. Is anyone out there using a DVB-S USB device under Linux reliably? I can see the WinTV Nova-S USB but I assume the hardware could be little relation to the reliable DVB-T box I'm using at the moment. If it's not really viable I have another x86 box where a regular PCI card could live, where I assume there is more choice. Any pointers would be appreciated from someone who knew the kernel driver support better than me, or simply has a working setup. -- Matthew _______________________________________________ linux-dvb mailing list linux-dvb@xxxxxxxxxxx http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linux-dvb
