I think I should first test the machine with the tt-1500 to see if I get a uptime of at least a week to be sure that it is working this time (so far 2 days 3 hrs, and 25 saa7146_i2c_writeout in the log). However if you think it is non intrusive enough (as in won't cause crashes/memory corruption) I can do it right away.
