anyway it's history; we shouldn't waste more time on discussing what happened .. we could fill weeks by doing that. So to clear up some things: * regarding binary userspace drivers, if someone wants to write binary drivers he can do that already if he has enough knowledge and time, even without that framework. * the userspace drivers look almost the same as the inkernel drivers (in case of function callbacks) * the xceive driver is implemented in userspace and works with em28xx based devices and I currently have a patch for cx88 based devices which is beeing tested now by Daniel and myself... everything is opensource here.
