Hi, With the recent flurry of activity relating to firmware and support for this card, I decided to upgrade the modules from the Mercurial repository and deploy the new firmware. For the first couple of days, things were looking good and I noticed a marked improvement against 2.6.21. I tried to then compile a new 2.6.22 kernel and it was at this point it all went horribly wrong. The 2.6.22 kernel with the new drivers would not lock to most channels, so I reverted back to 2.6.21. However, upon doing this - the card now appears to have suffered an almighty problem.. see tzap results below :- basil:~# tzap -c /usr/share/doc/dvb-utils/examples/channels.conf-dvbt-crystal-palace "BBC ONE" using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0' tuning to 505833333 Hz video pid 0x0258, audio pid 0x0259 status 00 | signal 0000 | snr 0000 | ber 001fffff | unc 00000000 | status 00 | signal 0000 | snr 0000 | ber 001fffff | unc 00000000 | status 00 | signal 0000 | snr 0000 | ber 001fffff | unc 00000000 | status 00 | signal 0000 | snr 0000 | ber 001fffff | unc 00000000 | status 00 | signal 0000 | snr 0000 | ber 001fffff | unc 00000000 | status 00 | signal 0000 | snr 0000 | ber 001fffff | unc 00000000 | status 00 | signal 0000 | snr 0000 | ber 001fffff | unc 00000000 | status 00 | signal 0000 | snr 0000 | ber 001fffff | unc 00000000 | status 00 | signal 0000 | snr 0000 | ber 001fffff | unc 00000000 | etc etc. basil:~# scan /usr/share/doc/dvb-utils/examples/scan/dvb-t/uk-CrystalPalace scanning /usr/share/doc/dvb-utils/examples/scan/dvb-t/uk-CrystalPalace using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0' initial transponder 505833333 0 3 9 1 0 0 0 >>> tune to: 505833333:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_3_4:FEC_AUTO:QAM_16:TRANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE WARNING: >>> tuning failed!!! >>> tune to: 505833333:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_3_4:FEC_AUTO:QAM_16:TRANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE (tuning failed) WARNING: >>> tuning failed!!! I have also (for the sake of argument) compiled new modules from the Mercurial repository today and make install'd them but it has made no difference. I know that the firmware it is loading is correct (-03-pre1.fw), but I haven't been near the system to do a full cold reboot recently. I appreciate this is a weird issue, but I would appreciate anyone's pointers as to how to gain more extensive diagnostics to figure out what is going on with the card, and how I might be able to go about fixing it!
