V-Gear MobiDTV Pro

I saw one of these in Maplin (UK) with a catalogue writeup that looked
as if it might be a clone of the Freecom DVB-T pen that I have been
using for several months. Cost was GBP 19.99 'was 49.99'!

I find that it isn't, and I don't want to spend time trying to get it to
work, so I shall take it back.

Here's a section of the system log when I unplugged the Freecom, plugged
in and then unplugged the MobiDTV Pro, and plugged in the Freecom again.
I had the af9005.fw file in /lib/firmware, but the response was IIRC
just the same without it. Net searches suggested that this is needed
for a version without the 'Pro' label.

I'm running 2.6.20-1.2316.fc5.i686. I haven't tried it under XP.

The packaging says:

Tuner: Microtune tuner
USB IC: Afa (9015 chip)
Demodulator: Afa COFDM
