Hi Michael, linux-dvb is the right place to ask such questions, I'm not into cx88 Ir stuff -Markus ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: emfau@xxxxxxxxxxx Date: Sun, 29 Apr 2007 18:25:06 +0200 Subject: Trouble with Hauppauge HVR 1300 ir remote To: mrechberger@xxxxxxxxx Hallo Markus, while browsing the v4l-dvb mercurial I got the impresssion that you are taking care of the current cx88 development. So I hope you are the right person to direct my questions to. If not it would great if you could tell me whom to contact regarding the following issue, I'm having a hard time to get the ir remote of my Hauppauge HVR 1300 (non-MCE) working. And I also noticed two other guys on the mailing list having the same problem ("HVR-1300 non MCE and ir remote" from 2007/04/03). I tried with different kernel and v4l versions but to no avail. Played with all the different debug options of the v4l modules but still I'm clueless what might go wrong. OTOH I'm sure that this is not a hardware issue as the card works fine on windows. I guess what I'm looking for is some sort of guidance on how to further track down the problem. I already tried to add some more ir_dprintk to cx88-input.c but there is not much I can gather from the additional output. The following sequence of calls is logged cx88_ir_init cx88_ir_init - case CX88_BOARD_HAUPPAUGE_HVR1300 cx88_ir_start cx88_ir_irq cx88_ir_irq .... where cx88_ir_irq is never seeing a complete sample ( Is there any specifc information I should provide or can you give me a hint where to start this investigation?
