I kinda got stuck with replaying the windows logs, afaik usbfs needs to support passed usb BULK messages while the driver is loaded, then you could in theory load firmware and tune with usbreplay (replaying the logs while tzaping the frontend etc).. Currently this is not possible. If it did, we would probably have something working sooner. I explained it in this email (sorry thought i CC'd to the linux-dvb mailing list aswell) http://mcentral.de/pipermail/xc3028/2007-April/000028.html the xc3028 driver is also under some heavy development, but Markus might be able to elaborate on that.
