Hello, I have a VIA Epia EN12000 board, a dual riser card and Terratec 1200 DVB-S and DVB-T cards. The EN12000 is equipped with a PCI riser like the one here: http://www.tranquilpc-shop.co.uk/acatalog/info%5f2%2ehtml Please also see http://www.tranquilpc-shop.co.uk/acatalog/PCI_Risers.html and http://www.tranquilpc.co.uk/support/Files/TPC014/Tranquil%20Riser.pdf for info about how the riser works. DVB-T card is in the top position, DVB-S card is in the lower position. I am wondering how my DVB-T card can work since discovering the interrupt issues with kernel 2.6.20 and my setup. When booting into the stock 2.6.20 kernel my DVB-T card's frontend is not reachable via i2c. DVB-S card's frontend `works` (is reachable). When booting 2.6.20 in polled mode (small patch), the DVB-T card's frontend is also accessible. I was told that for succesfully using a DVB card we need a working frontend *and* irq/DMA for the TS. My DVB-T card works but it appears it has *no* working interrupt due to the riser card. How can this be? How can this work? (System is 80% idle while running MythTV and showing a SD TV-channel.) I also noticed I can use tzap successully without having i2c-dev loaded. How come? How does the Device Number scheme works w.r.t. influencing what interrupt goes where? Can I find out what inerrupt my DVB-cards are really connected to (instead of what the kernel thinks)? Can I explain the kernel how stuff is connected? (DN 20 is the PCI slot, DN19 is the extra card in the riser) Below is some output. If you have questiond or want to see more please let me know.
