Hi,
I (disappointingly) just purchased one of these sticks, without realising there were quite so many problems with Linux-DVB. My bad. :-(
I seem to be having the same problem as everyone else, has a fix been released yet? I am running on 2.6.19.2 with drivers from a HG pull this morning.
I am using it with VDR-1.4.5.
When I insert the USB stick I see this: -

Then when starting VDR it works fine and displays BBC One.
When I change channel to BBC Two (same MUX) I see :-
Feb 14 12:04:39 morfsta vdr: [7447] switching to channel 2
Feb 14 12:04:40 morfsta vdr: [7447] ERROR: /dev/dvb/adapter2/demux0: Too many open files

and no picture is displayed.
Then when switching to ITV (different MUX) I see: -
Feb 14 12:04:52 morfsta vdr: [7447] switching to channel 3
Feb 14 12:04:52 morfsta vdr: [7769] TS continuity error (2)

and the picture appears.
Leaving it for any length of time and I eventually get (the widely reported): -

Here are my USB kernel options: -
CONFIG_USB_ZD1201=y
CONFIG_USB_ARCH_HAS_HCD=y
CONFIG_USB_ARCH_HAS_OHCI=y
CONFIG_USB_ARCH_HAS_EHCI=y
CONFIG_USB=y
CONFIG_USB_DEVICEFS=y
CONFIG_USB_BANDWIDTH=y

CONFIG_USB_MON=y
I have toggled many of the experimental options (CONFIG_USB_BANDWIDTH, CONFIG_USB_DEVICEFS, CONFIG_USB_EHCI_SPLIT_ISO, CONFIG_USB_EHCI_ROOT_HUB_TT etc) and this doesn't appear to make any difference.
Could someone help us to fix this? I think a lot of people have this problem and it would be nice to address it. Given I seem to have bought an unsupported USB stick it is useless to me (I only use Linux/VDR) so I am happy to send it to a developer if necessary, or work with someone to get it fixed.
TIA,
Morfsta

Hi all,
I've searched this mailing list, and internet, and found that is
possible to have 6 dvb cards simultaneously with newer linux kerenls.
But is it possible to have more than 6 dvb cards? for example 8 dvb cards?
I've an industrial pc from icp electronics that lets me to install up to
13 pci cards. ( It has active backplane).
With the best wishes.
