I'll add that with 2.6.18 kernel the same firmware is loaded with this
messages:
tda1004x: found firmware revision 0 -- invalid
tda1004x: waiting for firmware upload (dvb-fe-tda10045.fw)...
tda1004x: firmware upload complete
tda1004x: found firmware revision 2c -- ok

I am using Gentoo with emerged linuxtv-dvb-firmware. I also tried the
script in kernel docs to get the firmware and it ends up with alsmost
the same messages:

I compiled all dvb stuff as modules and lsmod gives me this:

tda1004x 14980 1 budget_ci
I have the old version of WinNova-T DVB card with saa7146 and it is
working with latest 2.6.18 kernel.
I don't know what can be wrong :(
