It seems that Reelbox
(http://www.reel-multimedia.co.uk/reelbox-software.html) does indeed
contain some sort of GPL-driver for TDA10023. I checked out the ReelBox
SVN-repository and merged the driver with latest DVB API.

I'm testing with Satelco EasyWatch DVB-C:

00:13.0 0480: 1131:7146 (rev 01)
        Subsystem: 1894:002c
        Control: I/O- Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop-
ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B-
        Status: Cap- 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort-
<TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR-
        Latency: 64 (3750ns min, 9500ns max)
        Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 18
        Region 0: Memory at feb00000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=512]

With the merged driver I now get:

#>scan -a 2 fi-elisa
scanning fi-elisa
using '/dev/dvb/adapter2/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter2/demux0'
initial transponder 154000000 6900000 0 4

PS. It would be so much easier with proper programming docs ... :(
