Hi, I'm trying to move from Windows onto Linux. One of the devices I have is a MagicBox VP-7041 I think I have it working With dmesg I get something like this (not actually this one, I forgot to save the output) - [ 4046.455924] usb 5-2: USB disconnect, address 3 - [ 4066.407381] usb 5-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 8 - [ 4066.521806] dvb-usb: found a 'Hanftek UMT-010 DVB-T USB2.0' in cold state, will try to load a firmware - [ 4066.539796] dvb-usb: downloading firmware from file 'dvb-usb-umt-010-02.fw' to the 'Cypress FX2' - [ 4066.571666] dvb-usb: Hanftek UMT-010 DVB-T USB2.0 successfully initialized and connected. - [ 4066.701374] usb 5-2: USB disconnect, address 8 - [ 4066.701404] dvb-usb: generic DVB-USB module successfully deinitialized and disconnected. Its a DiBcom USB1.1 DVB-T devices (based on the DiB3000M-B) With scan I get the following (I'm in Italy) La7:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16:TRANSMIS SION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:202 SKYmeteo24:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16:T RANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:204 SKYsport24:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16:T RANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:207 VF_CH_01:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16:TRA NSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:401 Int Table:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16:TRANSM ISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:1 VF_CH_02_10:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16: TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:402 VF_CH_03_16:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16: TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:403 VF_CH_04_13:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16: TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:404 VF_CH_05_15:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16: TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:405 VF_EMM:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16:TRANS MISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:419 VF_ESG:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16:TRANS MISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:420 VF_CH_06_14:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16: TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:406 VF_CH_07_12:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16: TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:407 VF_CH_08_11:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16: TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:408 CanaleCortesia:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_ 16:TRANSMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:208 EMM TI:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16:TRANSMISS ION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:219 ESG TI:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16:TRANSMISS ION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:220 SI live 24:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16:TRANSMISS ION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:501 MTV:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16:TRANSMIS SION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:203 SKYtg24:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16:TRAN SMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:205 Italia1:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16:TRAN SMISSION_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:206 canale 5:650000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_1_2:FEC_1_2:QAM_16:TRANSMISSI ON_MODE_8K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_4:HIERARCHY_NONE:0:0:201 Then with tzap using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0' tuning to 650000000 Hz video pid 0x0000, audio pid 0x0000 status 00 | signal 0000 | snr 0000 | ber 001fffff | unc 0000ffff | status 1f | signal ffff | snr 00eb | ber 001fffff | unc 0000ffff | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal ffff | snr 00e6 | ber 001fffff | unc 0000ffff | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal f4dd | snr 00e2 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal ffff | snr 00eb | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal ffff | snr 00f5 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal f4dd | snr 0100 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal ffff | snr 0100 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal f4dd | snr 0100 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal ffff | snr 00f5 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal ffff | snr 00eb | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal ffff | snr 010b | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal ffff | snr 00ce | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal ffff | snr 00eb | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal ffff | snr 0100 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal ffff | snr 00e6 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal ffff | snr 0105 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal ffff | snr 010b | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal ffff | snr 00fa | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal ffff | snr 00f4 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK status 1f | signal ffff | snr 0100 | ber 00000000 | unc 00000000 | FE_HAS_LOCK But I think the problem is that 0:0 in video and audio ID. I try for example with "canale 5" that works under windows, so the signal is strong enough (why should it need to be stronger for linux than for windows?), but doesn't work. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help Bye, Christian _______________________________________________ linux-dvb mailing list linux-dvb@xxxxxxxxxxx http://www.linuxtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/linux-dvb
