Hi all,

I have previously sent this message to Patrick Boettcher, but I have not
received any answer. On his homepage I have read the address of this mailing
list. So, I am here. :-)

The problem:

My TV tuner is EC300 DVB-T TV Tuner Yuan High-Tech Development.
I ave purchased the notebook ith this tuner in bundle. My kernel is 2.19.1. My
Linux is Slackware 11.0. The firmware files are in /lib/firmware
directory.

I have followed Patrick HomePage instruction for the cam integrated in my
notebook HP dv9095, but when I launch "dvbscan it-Milano" it say:

Unable to query frontend status

I have tryed and re-tryed with modules inside the kernel( 2.19.1), with
modules downloaded with hg, and many other things, but nothing! :-(
And still, all seem work fine!! The tuner is recognized by the kernel, but
dvbscan, tvtime, kdetv not see it!

E.g. if i pass to tvtime the command:

tvtime -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0 -f europe

it say me:

videoinput: Cannot open capture device /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0: Operation not
supported

and I have tryed with demuxer0 and all device under the
path: /dev/dvb/adapter0 :-(

I have used these firmware:

dvb-usb-dibusb-6.0.0.8.fw
dvb-usb-dibusb-5.0.0.11.fw
dvb-usb-dibusb-an2235-01.fw

I have try to upload my original drivers of windows on Patrick Homepage
(http://www.wi-bw.tfh-wildau.de/~pboettch/home/index.php?site=dvb-usb-firmware)
for extract the firmware, but that script say:

file unknow, impossible to extract the firmware.

Became root, I have tryed to load one firmware with the command:

sysctl -w kernel.hotplug=/sbin/udevsend

but, nothing to do! :-(

I think which the firmware is not right for my device :-(

However, if you can, I send to you my original drivers or you can say me how
to I can extract the firmware?

Follow technical notes of kernel & my usb 2.0 tv tuner:
