Well we have about 10 T-500's running fine under both Debian and Ubuntu. We have a single Ubuntu box with 3 T-500's working too... no sign of this problem at all.

I have problems with this card here in france (Lille), poor tuning
signal. The signal is good with a tnt box decoder.
I thought it is a know issue. Look for the thread "[PATCH] Tuner
calibration for some Nova-T devices" last month on this list.
