Hi all I'm wondering if anyone can help me to sort out configuration of my Avermedia 761 DVB-T card. I'm running on Ubuntu 6.06. In 'dmesg' I can see the card is being found, but when I run 'scantv', I get the message "device has no tuner, exiting". I have loaded the "sp887x" module using modprobe, and I can see it in dmesg (see below), but this doesn't change the result with scantv. Is there perhaps some command that I need to write into /etc/modules, or something like that, to tell 'bttv' what kind of tuner my card has? It's interesting that in /etc/modules there is nothing special about any video card modules, but during boot, Ubuntu find my Avermedia card but doesn't find the sp887x tuner, and doesn't load that module. I'm not a kernel expert here, just trying to make sense of what I've found scouring about on the net. Any suggestions much appreciated.
