I don't know VDR well enough, but when it says "frontend 0 lost lock" it 
means that the status of the receiving part gave the information, that 
there was problem with the signal. The symptoms you describe are not 
caused by the IRQ stop problem. (IRQ problem: Lock and BER are OK, but no 
data arrives.)

Can be broken anyway. Or a current/voltage problem. What is your hardware? 
Can you try the card on another system?
