It looks like the dvb evtest is a fork of some older version. I suppose the
main difference are some strings for button names. Since evtest also
displays button events with unkown name it doesn't hurt if evtest
doesn't know all.

I don't know if other distributions package that tool. On SUSE Linux
the package is called input-utils and also contains stuff like jscal
and jstest. So on SUSE Linux the dvb evtest definitely is
superflous.
