I have tried to find, as good as i am, to find the solution, if possible, to my problem. Problem: The dvb-ttpci driver does not detect the insertion or removal of the cam card. I have the following setup: nexus-s rev 2.1 (pci) CI module (3,5" directly connected to nexus-s. Aston ver 1.05 CAM (+ CanalDigitaal sim card) Linux FC5 latest kernel. vdr (version 1.4.1) kaffeine (0.8.2-beta1) The drivers load without problem. I can see free to air channels. When I switch to any of the encrypted channels black screen. I have tested a lot and put the driver in debug mode (255). No signs. Looking through the av7110 driver part I see that there is a part for catching the irq when the cam is inserted or removed but this is never called as far as I can see. Is the problem my CAM card (Aston ver 1.05)? Is the problem the setup? Any solution to this problem? I'm asking because after searching the net for two days I did not find any real answer about this combination not working or working. Some people report problems with the 1.05 Aston CAM but not solutions. I have tested the same setup in the same machine with windows XP and the hauppauge software. This is working with some problems where the cam is not detected right away but after removing and inserting it is found and working. dmesg output: saa7146: register extension 'dvb'.
