Re: High Level CI support .. status of hg ?

Hi,

Just thought I'd touch base again on the status of the High Level CI support, in particular the Twinhan 1030A dst stuff. There was some action a while ago, in the off site mercurial tree detailed below, involving adding a dst_algo parameter to the driver, which seemed to help alot of people get these cards working. Unfortunately, this tree hasn't been touched in 3 months, and won't compile against recent (>2.5.15 or so) kernels. Partcularly as the i2c stuff in the kernel has been significantly reworked (which makes merging all the dst stuff by hand a seriouos pain).

Is there any plan to get the fixes in the tree below into the main branch ? I just tried compiling the latest hg tip and scan still won't pick up most of the channels I'm entitled too.

I'd be really interested to know if it is expected that the VisionPlus/Twinhan High level CI cards are ever going to be supported or if I should just go an fork out for a better supported card (I've been trying to get this one working for 2 years now ...).

Regards,

Graeme

I'm trying to get the latest v4l-dvb from cvs working. I've seen alot of posts referring to a branch of the main repository maintained by Manu, for example this one from the previous High Level CI support in MythTv thread

It is undergoing some changes, but you can find here for updates in the
meantime, till things are in MAIN.

This host/repository no longer seems contactable. Are the changes from this tree merged into the main repository now ? Should I expect ca_zap from hg to be working "out of the box" for my twinhan VP-1030 Sat/CI now (With Irdeto CAM).

I've been having alot of trouble with tuning since upgrading v4l around the beginning of the year (tuning/non encrypted channels used to work, now I can't even tune). dvbscan gives me alot of Warning >> tuning failed !!! messages. Apparently the above repository fixed similiar issues for some people. Oddly, one frequency does scan, from which I get about 14 channels (none of which I subscribe too). I used to get 50-100 (which is about corrdct for foxtel here in australia). I can no longer scan the optus test channel, which was the one non scrambled service I could use for testing.

Once I get scanning working properly, hopefully I can test the unscrambling ... any ideas ?

Below is the output from dvb-scan.
