Hi,

Some time ago I did dvbscan uk-Bilsdale with my Avermedia DVB-T USB-2.0.

The result was of the form:-

ITV1:474000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_1_2:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1

_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:513:651:8275

ITV2:474000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_1_2:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1

_32:HIERARCHY_NONE:2824:2825:8339

ITV3:474000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_1_2:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1

Using zap or xine I can get the BBC channels but no others.

At present

# dvbscan uk-Bilsdale appears not to work and gives:-

scanning /usr/local/share/dvb/scan/dvb-t/uk-Bilsdale

using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0'

initial transponder 474000000 0 2 1 3 0 0 0

>>> tune to:

474000000:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_2_3:FEC_1_2:QAM_64:TRANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE

(tuning failed)

WARNING: >>> tuning failed!!!

dumping lists (0 services)

Done.

This suggests the tuner is not working and yet it still allows me to get the

BBC channels. The antenna I am using is presumably not the problem since I

can get all DVB channels using it on the TV set.

I can get no help from Avermedia who say they do not support Linux. Any

suggestions will be welcome.
