Hi,
I am trying to get a DVB card working which has been built into a
Medion/Aldi PC around a year ago, using Kanotix-VDR (Kernel 2.6.16.16).
As this was one of the first solutions that offered DVB-T, DVB-S and
analogue TV on one card, I believe that this is a LifeView clone as this
company was the only one at that time that produced cards with this
capabilities.
This is what I get from lspci:
0000:03:01.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors
SAA7134/SAA7135HL Video Broadcast Decoder (rev 01)
Subsystem: Creatix Polymedia GmbH Medion 7134

Latency: 32 (21000ns min, 8000ns max)
Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 225
Region 0: Memory at d8000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=1K]
Capabilities: <available only to root>
0000:03:04.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors
SAA7134/SAA7135HL Video Broadcast Decoder (rev 01)
Subsystem: Creatix Polymedia GmbH: Unknown device 0005
Control: I/O- Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr-
Stepping- SERR- FastB2B-
Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=medium >TAbort-
<TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR-
Latency: 32 (21000ns min, 8000ns max)
Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 233
Region 0: Memory at d8002000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=1K]
Capabilities: <available only to root>
Although it says "unknown device 0005" in the second place, I believe to
get success messages with dmesg - at least for the DVB-T part that I need:

Unfortunately, VDR finally does not seem to find a working DVB device.
Any hints?
With kind regards
