Greetings again,

I have zero clue what to do, i build the v4l-dvb and when i then do a modprobe on any of the modules i get the following, at first i just thaught it was related to the dvb part but the ivtv driver shows the same problem, any one have any tips for me?
Thanks in advance

[root@server v4l-dvb]# modprobe ivtv
WARNING: Error inserting videodev (/lib/modules/2.6.16-1.2122_FC5smp/kernel/drivers/media/video/videodev.ko): Invalid module format WARNING: Error inserting tveeprom (/lib/modules/2.6.16-1.2122_FC5smp/kernel/drivers/media/video/tveeprom.ko): Invalid module format WARNING: Error inserting v4l1_compat (/lib/modules/2.6.16-1.2122_FC5smp/kernel/drivers/media/video/v4l1-compat.ko ): Invalid module format FATAL: Error inserting ivtv (/lib/modules/2.6.16-1.2122_FC5smp/updates/drivers/media/video/ivtv.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

This is just a guess, and all I can do is guess right now, based on the lack of information provided. (you neglected to show us your dmesg output)

try this:

{from within the v4l-dvb mercurial directory}

make distclean
make
make install
