Very unlucky, this cannot be compiled under kernel 2.4 environment.

Are there any guideline / solution provided ?

Now I am trying work on "translating" the 2.6 kernel headers to 2.4's,
but .... It is so difficult ... And the differences between kernel 2.6
and 2.4 are so many ....

And I do not know this will work or not.

Anyway, thanks for your kindly help.

Best regards,
Lo Chun Chung

Hi,

But I wonder which snapshot I should use? There are so many snapshots.
(Placed under /snapshots directory, right?)

Or I should choose either one of them?

There is a snapshot v4l-dvb-20051202.tar.gz. Not sure whether it
compiles on kernel 2.4.

I no longer have a system with kernel 2.4 running, so i can't check myself.
I remember there were discussions to port the driver back but i have no clue
about the progress.
Maybe you are successful with the following:
Older versions have the drivers for video and dvb separate. So you need
snapshots of dvb-kernel and v4l-kernel.
If you find a combination that compiles on you system and has a saa1734-dvb
module, you can copy the code from an older v4l-kernel snapshot. It is not
to much, basically you need to edit saa7134.h saa7134-cards.c saa7134-dvb.c
and replace tda10046.h and tda10046.c.

Good luck
  Hartmut
