Hi there,

Trying to install a FusionHDTV DVB-T Plus Low Profile card. I have the same problem as this fellow:

http://www.linuxtv.org/pipermail/linux-dvb/2005-September/004932.html

However, his solution does not work for me. I'm using an unpatched kernel 2.6.12 (but have also tried 2.6.16 without joy) on Ubuntu Breezy Badger. dmesg shows this:

The symptom when I run something like scan (after manually creating the device nodes, because udev doesn't do that for me) is "FATAL: failed to open '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0': 6 No such device or address".

I'm also having trouble with the remote. I have tried various versions of LIRC including 0.7.1 and 0.7.2 (both of which supposedly support it), specifying the "dvico" driver. I also tried to patch version 0.7.0 with <a href="http://www.itee.uq.edu.au/~chrisp/Linux-DVB/DVICO/lirc-0.7.0-dvico.diff";>this patch</a> but I kept getting make errors. With either of the other versions, lirc starts (/usr/sbin/lircd --driver=dvico --device=/dev/usb/hiddev0), and I can run irw, but it doesn't recognise key-presses. But dmesg shows this:

[4294679.706000] usbcore: registered new driver hiddev
[4294679.715000] hiddev96: USB HID v1.10 Device [DVICO DVICO USB HID Remocon V1.

[4294679.715000] drivers/usb/input/hid-core.c: v2.01:USB HID core driver

Help!

TIA
