Yea, that's what I think I'm doing

martin@jet:~/v4l/hg$ mkdir new
martin@jet:~/v4l/hg$ cd new/
martin@jet:~/v4l/hg/new$ hg clone http://linuxtv.org/hg/v4l-dvb; cd v4l-dvb; make ; sudo make unload;  sudo make install; sudo modprobe bttv

and I get ..
.
.
.
Installing /lib/modules/2.6.16-mjp-8/kernel/drivers/media/video/zc0301 files:

make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/martin/v4l/hg/new/v4l-dvb/v4l'
FATAL: Error inserting bttv (/lib/modules/2.6.16-mjp-8/kernel/drivers/media/video/bttv.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

dmesg says:

Linux video capture interface: v1.00
bttv: disagrees about version of symbol videobuf_streamoff
bttv: Unknown symbol videobuf_streamoff
bttv: disagrees about version of symbol videobuf_poll_stream
bttv: Unknown symbol videobuf_poll_stream
bttv: disagrees about version of symbol videobuf_read_stop
bttv: Unknown symbol videobuf_read_stop
bttv: Unknown symbol videobuf_dma_pci_unmap
..
..

Martin-

Yikes! Yes, you must have done something wrong.

All I'm asking now is that you clone:

http://linuxtv.org/hg/~mkrufky/dvb-pll

then build it and install... Just as you had before. (no patch needed)

Of course, if it doesnt work, you can revert back to v4l-dvb master,
since it already has the patch adding support for your card.

Please try again and let me know what happens.

Thanks,
