I did add some more debug messages. The call for
"(ves1820_readreg(state, 0x1a) & 0xf0)" in "ves1820_attach" does return
0xf0 and not 0x70!?
That's the reason why I get the "dvb-ttusb-budget: A frontend driver was
not found for device 0b48/1004" message. So what to do next?
