Make install errors and getting the Hauppauge Nova S Plus to work

I'm having problems running make install on the latest tree. When I try
to make reload, I get a bunch of symbol errors. I'm complete
new to linux and have been having trouble getting my Hauppauge Nova S
Plus to work. Any guidance would be appreciated. Here are the errors
I'm getting:
