I now have a Nova-T 909 to go with my Nova-T SAA7146. Using the stock 2.6.15.x cx88-dvb and related modules, it seems to be working well so far, though the remote control repeat isn't right. (I recall something about some fixes in this area; I'll give v4l-dvb HEAD a try tomorrow.) (I've hit an aerial pass-through problem, significantly affecting at least the multiplex containing the ITV channels; ISTR its being mentioned previously on at least one of these lists. Cable-splitting works fine, though.) With the IR receiver[0] plugged into the new card, both remote controls can be used but it is not possible to distinguish between them. (The old one is model R808; the new one is model A415.) With it plugged into the old card (and my patched budget-ci [1]), the new remote control causes, for various keys, the following: budget-ci: received key NN address 1E For reference, the old remote control uses address 0x1F. Perhaps my budget-ci patch [1] should be applied and cx88-input.c should be modified to use the address information to avoid remote control clashes? Or should my ir-common patches [1] be applied and both drivers and ir-common be modified to allow for large keymaps, making use of the RC5 address information where available? [0] I used the new one, but I doubt that that matters at all.
