I don't know why you ignored Manu's reply. AFAIK DSS does not
just use a different modulation scheme. More importantly,
it doesn't use MPEG-2 transport streams, which means that
the dvb-core software demux and the demux API don't apply.
IOW, although it is a digital TV "standard", it has nothing to
do with DVB or ATSC.

If someone can show that there is a neat way to add DSS
support to dvb-core I'm not against adding it, but please
don't start by pushing random bits into the frontend
API which are totally useless by itself.
