Is there some resolution planned to fix the problems with the
cx88-dvb and blackbird conflicts in Fedora. The udev system wants to
automatically load the blackbird drivers
instead of the cx88-dvb presumably because the module files: pcimap
and alias files detail similar settings. Note the current workaround I found works the best is the comment out the "blackbird" entries in the directory :=> /lib/modules/`uname -r`/ modules.alias modules.pcimap eg modules.pcimap #cx88-blackbird 0x000014f1 0x00008802 0xffffffff 0xffffffff 0x00000000 0x00000000 0x0 cx88-dvb 0x000014f1 0x00008802 0xffffffff 0xffffffff 0x00000000 0x00000000 0x0 Then reboot The downside is you have to remember to redo this if you install any new kernel or kernel modules. Otherwise you have to do some messing about with modprobe -r blackbird;modprobe cx88-dvb etc... Paul |
