Which card model is this ?

Can you be a little more specific? I don't know what to tell you.

VisionPlus DVB-T Digital TV Tuner Card

When it is working properly, it is auto detected by the kernel as card 113 (0x71).

lspci tells me:
0000:02:0c.0 Multimedia video controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Video Capture (rev 11)
0000:02:0c.1 Multimedia controller: Brooktree Corporation Bt878 Audio Capture (rev 11)

I'm wondering if there is some pci conflict that lspci output will be different when I pull the DTV1000 card out?

maybe you can try this tree and see whether
it makes any changes for you.

Thanks. Can you please give some more context as to what this tree is about?

Running it up give me:

DVB: registering new adapter (bttv0).
dst(0) dst_comm_init: Initializing DST.
dst(0) dst_gpio_outb: mask=[ffffffff], enbb=[0001], outhigh=[0000]
dst(0) rdc_reset_state: Resetting state machine
dst(0) dst_gpio_outb: mask=[0002], enbb=[0002], outhigh=[0000]
dst(0) dst_gpio_outb: mask=[0002], enbb=[0002], outhigh=[0002]
writing [ 00 06 00 00 00 00 00 fa ]
dst(0) dst_gpio_outb: mask=[ffffffff], enbb=[0000], outhigh=[0000]
dst(0) read_dst: reply is 0x0
dst(0) dst_get_device_id: Write not Acknowledged! [Reply=0x00]
dst(0) dst_probe: unknown device.
frontend_init: Could not find a Twinhan DST.
dvb-bt8xx: A frontend driver was not found for device 109e/0878 subsystem 0000/0000

Should I be looking at DST related code changes? BTW what does DST stand for anyway?

I just had a quick look at the diff for dst.c in that tree against the v4l-dvb tree. It seems to add support for ATSC. I don't expect this to affect me. Or are there other changes I should be looking at?

What do you make of the fact that it only stops working when another DVB card of a different chipset is installed?

Thanks,
Matt
