Hello all,
I'm striving to get a Digicom "DigiTune" USB2 DVB-T dongle to work with
Linux - but I had no success so far.
Opening it and watching kernel messages reveals more interesting
information.
Board: VP-7045G Ver: 2.3
Tin box: Samsung DNOS404ZH102A, which is MT352 based
Reported Vendor and Product IDs (0x13d3 and 0x3205 respectively) already
match USB_VID_VISIONPLUS and USB_PID_TWINHAN_VP7045_COLD in Linux dvb code.
Using a 2.6.15.3 kernel, I found problems getting the firmware. Which
one do I need? It seems there are new versions available from Twinhan
website (get_dvb_firmware shipped with kernel fails).
Here are the kernel messages I see when plugging in the dongle:
Feb 9 15:09:03 localhost kernel: [17184062.264000] usb 4-2: new high
speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3
Feb 9 15:09:03 localhost kernel: [17184062.700000] dvb-usb: found a
'Twinhan USB2.0 DVB-T receiver (TwinhanDTV Alpha/MagicBox II)' in cold
state, will try to load a firmware
Feb 9 15:09:03 localhost usb.agent[7119]: dvb-usb-vp7045: loaded
successfully
Feb 9 15:09:03 localhost kernel: [17184062.740000] dvb-usb: Twinhan
USB2.0 DVB-T receiver (TwinhanDTV Alpha/MagicBox II) error while loading
driver (-2)
Feb 9 15:09:03 localhost kernel: [17184062.740000] dvb_usb_vp7045:
probe of 4-2:1.0 failed with error -2
Feb 9 15:09:03 localhost kernel: [17184062.740000] usbcore: registered
new driver dvb_usb_vp7045
A big thank you for the work already done!
Any help appreciated!
Mauro.
