[linux-dvb] More on LifeView FlyDVB-T

A couple of weeks ago I posted a patch which added support for the
tda8274+tda10046ht based FlyDVB-T, not very well working then.

But meanwhile, thanks to Hartmut Hackmann unvaluable suggestions, I developed
a simple reader/writer/eraser for the ATMEL 24C256N eeprom mounted on the
card (I suppose on all Lifeview cards) which contains the firmware for the
10046 demodulator, version 23 by factory . By means of this tool I was able
to upgrade the firmware to version 29.

This version was taken from Lifeview latest drivers, and to this purpose I
modified get_dvb_firmware in order to get the tda10046 firmware from their
site. A separate patch for get_dvb_firmware was also posted.

With latest tda1004x CVS updates and the firmware upgrade, eventually
I got this card working. Locking time is reduced and at last I was able to do
a channel scan and watch TV with vdr :)

It seems that the patch didn't find its way to the CVS tree, so I would ask
the developers if I should post it again, and where to send my simple eeprom
programmer.

Ciao,
gianci
