[linux-dvb] Hauppuage HVR1100 DVB-T problem

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

I have a Hauppauge HVR-1100 which was working correctly at early
December, 2005 in DVB-T mode. ( The analog audio had problems that time
because of the not working cx88-alsa . )

Nowadays I updated the v4l-dvb CVS and I try to use it again and I don't
get any data reading from /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0.

I even tried to use the jelle-cx88-mpeg-restart-queue-fix.patch.
I tried to put the card to another PCI slot.
Unfortunatelly I don't have the binary drivers used that time.

My kernel version is: 2.6.14-gentoo-r5

The dmesg output seems to be OK after modprobe cx88-dvb:

The only difference I see compating to the december's log is the
'tveeprom 0-0050: tuner model is Philips FMD1216ME (idx 100, type 63)'
line where the tuner type was 4:
'Dec 15 19:11:31 hugo tveeprom 1-0050: tuner model is Philips FMD1216ME
(idx 100, type 4)
'

The tzap is working correctly with the same settings ( from the dv
b-apps cvs ):
./tzap -c channels-conf/dvb-t/hu-Budapest mtv
output:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
hugo szap # ./tzap -c channels-conf/dvb-t/hu-Budapest mtv

The 'cat /dev/dvb/adapter0/dvr0 > /tmp/recording.ts' command result a 0
size file always. The same commands resulted correct mpeg file in early
december.

After the 'cat' command dmesg shows the following output after and
before applying the jelle-cx88-mpeg-restart-queue-fix.patch:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
cx88[0]/2: queue is empty - first active
cx88[0]/2: cx8802_start_dma w: 0, h: 0, f: 2

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is there anybody who has a working HVR-1100 with the current v4l-dvb CVS ?

Does anybody have any idea what could be the problem ?
I've read all the video4linux messages and I don't see anybody having
the same problem, so maybe something wrong with my setup :-(
