Meanwhile, cvs works for me, and not for you. This raises some concern. It looks as if kernel 2.6.14 will be released relatively soon. Within two weeks of 2.6.14 release, patches from both DVB and V4L trees will be merged into 2.6.15 development. It would be extremely helpful to me if you could also test some of the 2.6.15-rcX kernels, to ensure that you don't experience any of the same problems that you had while attempting to use the code in cvs. Hopefully the problems that you had will have simply vanished by then. Most, if not all, of the tuner-autodetection problems relating to tda8290/tda8275/tda8275a/tda9887 have been resolved, to the best of my knowledge. I'm hoping that it was just some problems with your previous kernel, but who knows?
