Hello all, I've just got a Artec T1 USB2 DVB external box. I can get this device to work in Windows 2000, but have had limited success in Linux. I've followed the directions at http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Artec_T1_USB_TV_Box , downloading the cvs drivers and uncommented the DVB_USB_DIBUSB_MB_FAULTY_USB_IDs entry in dibusb-mb.c. I've also rm'd the usbtest module, as this was being loaded before anything else. Now, I get success in at least dmesg: usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 9 dvb-usb: found a 'DiBcom USB1.1 DVB-T reference design (MOD3000)' in warm state.dvb-usb: will use the device's hardware PID filter (table count: 16). But I cannot get any results to scan: [root@localhost scan]# ./dvbscan -vv dvb-t/uk-CrystalPalace scanning dvb-t/uk-CrystalPalace using '/dev/dvb/adapter0/frontend0' and '/dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0' initial transponder 505833333 0 3 9 1 0 0 0 >>> tune to: 505833333:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_3_4:FEC_AUTO:QAM_16:TR ANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE >>> tuning status == 0x04 >>> tuning status == 0x04 >>> tuning status == 0x04 >>> tuning status == 0x04 >>> tuning status == 0x04 >>> tuning status == 0x04 >>> tuning status == 0x04 >>> tuning status == 0x04 >>> tuning status == 0x04 >>> tuning status == 0x04 WARNING: >>> tuning failed!!! >>> tune to: 505833333:INVERSION_AUTO:BANDWIDTH_8_MHZ:FEC_3_4:FEC_AUTO:QAM_16:TR ANSMISSION_MODE_2K:GUARD_INTERVAL_1_32:HIERARCHY_NONE (tuning failed) >>> tuning status == 0x04 >>> tuning status == 0x04 >>> tuning status == 0x04 >>> tuning status == 0x04 >>> tuning status == 0x04 >>> tuning status == 0x04 >>> tuning status == 0x04 >>> tuning status == 0x04 >>> tuning status == 0x04 >>> tuning status == 0x04 WARNING: >>> tuning failed!!! ERROR: initial tuning failed dumping lists (0 services) Done. I usually get TV signal from CrystalPalace (well, analogue anyway) so I expected this to work. The Windows driver just took about 5 minutes, and detected all the channels automatically. :-( I've also tried with Kaffeine. kaffeine doesn't show any channels and just shows SNR and signal as zero (and booting to windows these are 80-90%). Using DVB card "DiBcom 3000M-B DVB-T" tuning DVB-T to 505833000 Hz inv:2 bw:0 fecH:3 fecL:9 mod:1 tm:0 gi:0 hier:0 polling.... Getting frontend event polling.... Thanks, Richard Hughes
