Assuming the signal comes from the same station, the reason might
be echoes. The effects are frequency depending. What many people
don't know is that the cause can not only be improper adjustment of
the antenna but also bad cabling.
So please check whether you have proper coax cable, it is not broken
and you have the shield connected properly.
If the eches come from the air, you might try to "disadjust" the antenna
in a way that the echoes get reduced.
