Hi there,
I try to get my Terratec DVB-T 1400 card running on
gentoo linux. (linux-2.6.12)

This device seems to be connexant ref. design card=19
0000:00:13.0 Multimedia video controller: Conexant Winfast TV2000 XP (rev 05)
0000:00:13.2 Multimedia controller: Conexant: Unknown device 8802 (rev 05)

If I start by hand with
modprobe cx88xx card=19
modprobe cx8802
modprobe cx88-dvb

lsmod | grep dvb
cx88_dvb 7812 0
or51132 10244 1 cx88_dvb
video_buf_dvb 6788 1 cx88_dvb
dvb_core 86120 1 video_buf_dvb
cx22702 6724 1 cx88_dvb
dvb_pll 4676 3 cx88_dvb,or51132,cx22702
cx8802 10692 1 cx88_dvb
cx88xx 54496 2 cx88_dvb,cx8802
video_buf 22212 4 cx88_dvb,video_buf_dvb,cx8802,cx88xx
mt352 6980 1 cx88_dvb

ideo_buf_dvb 6788 1 cx88_dvb
dvb_core 86120 1 video_buf_dvb
video_buf 22212 4 cx88_dvb,video_buf_dvb,cx8802,cx88xx
videodev 9920 1 cx88xx

Now I am able to use dvbzap which calls up mplayer.
vdr is also running but I can`t use kvdr or kdetv!

Which driver provides /dev/video resp /dev/dvb/frontend0/video0?

The general thing is I am confused about all these drivers.
Where can I get a overview about the architecture?

thanx and regards

markus
