[linux-dvb] Avermedia 771 and kernel 2.6.13-rc6

Hi,

I have just tried to configure a couple of Avermedia 771 cards into
kernel-2.6.13-rc6. I am assuming all patches are incorporated in 2.6.13
as I cannot see any pertinent patches in the DVB cvs patch directory.
Is this correct?
I originally tried gentoo-2.6.12, but it appears that needs patching!

Using 2.6.13, I cannot get the "CONFIG_DVB_BT8XX=M" item to appear in
the menuconfig menu, despite setting "CONFIG_DVB=y" and
"CONFIG_DVB_CORE=M", consequently there is no dvb-bt8xx module built.

How do I get to this item in the kernel menuconfig? (that is if it is
still needed?). Or how do I build this module?

If I compile / run a kernel without ths dvb_bt8xx driver, I can see
from dmesg that the bttv driver picks up the cards, correctly but the
MT352 driver does not have any effect and does not create frontend0 and
frontend1.

What obtuse incantation is needed for Avermedia 771, and kernel-2.6.13-rc6?

Last year I built a system with kernel-2.6.7 and had to build from cvs
dvb modules. I had hoped that dvb would install "out of the box this
time", but no such luck!

All help and advice gratefully received.

regards

Patrick
